Seasonal Radical Rest Sundays
Quarterly | 4:00–6:00pm EST
Yin • Qigong • Somatic Movement • Yoga Nidra
Each season, you're invited into a two-hour sanctuary of intentional rest—where movement gives way to stillness, and stillness becomes a doorway to presence.
These Seasonal Radical Rest sessions are offered once each quarter, aligned with the rhythms of nature and the wisdom of the Five Elements from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Through somatic movement, Yin yoga, Qigong, and guided Yoga Nidra, we explore a central seasonal theme—gently shifting energy, cultivating awareness, and deepening your sense of belonging within yourself and your community.
💫 You’ll receive:
A guided Yoga Nidra recording to support your seasonal journey .
A pre-workshop worksheet with reflection questions to deepen your personal inquiry.
Ongoing support through accountability emails and occasional bonus Yoga Nidra recordings tied to the seasonal theme.
This format is a space for meaningful integration—where the seed of your heartfelt intention is planted and nurtured across months, not moments. It’s about committing to your practice, listening inward, and gently living your answers.
Join for one, or commit to all four for a full year of guided seasonal transformation.
I look forward to sharing this intentional, heart-centered time with you.
🍁 Next Workshop: January 25, 2026
Winter— Kidney’s and Urinary Bladder
Qualities: Clarity • Courage • Letting Go • Refinement
As daylight softens and the air grows crisp, the body and spirit naturally turn toward reflection and release. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Winter is the season of the water element representing adaptability, wisdom, and stillness. It symbolizes the body's capacity to store energy and its ability to flow and regenerate, while maintaining balance is crucial for a healthy flow of life and willpower, known as zhi.
During this workshop, we’ll move, breathe, and rest into balance with nature’s rhythm — honoring the breath, cultivating gratitude, and restoring inner clarity through mindful movement, qigong, and Yoga Nidra.
🌬️ The Water Element in Winter
Yin Organ: Kidneys
The Kidneys are considered the root of life in TCM. They store our deepest energy (Jing), guide our resilience, nourish the bones, and support clarity, willpower, and longevity. In winter, the Kidneys call us to rest more deeply, tend our inner well, and reconnect with the quiet wisdom within. When honored, they help us meet life with steadiness, courage, and a grounded sense of trust.
Yang Organ: Urinary Bladder
The Urinary Bladder governs the distribution and regulation of our energy reserves. It supports the ebb and flow of vitality throughout the day and helps us maintain balance when external demands are high. In winter, this organ encourages pacing, mindful movement, gentle warmth, and the art of replenishing rather than overextending. It teaches us to honor boundaries—energetic, emotional, and physical.
🌊 Rest, Resilience & Inner Strength
As Water invites rest and soft determination, our practices will foster steadiness of mind and clarity of spirit. Whether in the studio or online, we’ll create a space for deep restoration, reflection, and quiet renewal—an opportunity to honor the wisdom that comes from stillness and to rebuild strength from the inside out.
Why Winter Practice Matters
Winter invites us to do what nature does—slow down, soften, and restore from the inside out. When we practice during this season, we strengthen the Water element and support the Kidneys, our deepest storehouse of energy and vitality. Gentle qigong and Yoga Nidra help replenish what has been depleted, ease stress, and build resilience for the months ahead. Winter practice offers a rare gift: a chance to honor our inner rhythm, cultivate steadiness, and emerge into spring feeling nourished, rested, and whole.

In the field of neuroscience, there continues to be discovery and support of the profound effects that Yoga Nidra has on your nervous system. Better sleep, greater clarity of thinking, enhanced creativity, hormonal balance which has the added bonus in assisting with weight loss.
